About Us
LOS GUEVARA'S
Another Guevara is a band founded by cousins from a Colombian-American family living in the greater Philadelphia area. We grew up sharing friends, music, and interests. The first iteration of the band came about when the band was a group of little kids. Steve wrote a song called 'We're the rock and roll kids' and all the cousins were part of the Rock N Roll Kids band. It never took off, but more than 30 years later we formed Another Guevara and started playing some covers while writing some original tunes. All are welcome to become part of la familia, there is always an extra plate of food and space to welcome Another Guevara.
Steve (Vocals and Bass)
Has been writing songs and beatboxing since High School. He learned to play bass as a covid hobby and quickly fell in love with it. He called up his cousins to start playing together and a few months later played their first Novena Christmas gathering.
Omar (Lead Guitar and Vocals)
You know a guitar solo is good when you find yourself being able to hum the whole thing while playing air guitar. Omar has a very musical ear and influenced our sound in many ways.
Fred (Vocals and Rhythm Guitar)
A US Marine Corps veteran with a gritty growl. Fred grew up in a musical household with a dad who inspired his kids to learn and play guitar. Fred takes you on a powerful journey in English Verbs and Everywhere I've Been.
Juan (Hip Hop Vocals and Keys)
Juan is our older cousin and the Most Improved player of the bunch. His well-crafted lyrics and rap delivery has the smoothness of LL in his prime with a storytelling ability that makes you hang onto every word.
